According to the Berkeley Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Alcatraz Avenue and Dover Street.

Authorities stated that the driver fled southbound on Dover Street after the collision. The pedestrian accompanying the stroller was unharmed, but the child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no confirmed description of the vehicle involved, and the child’s age has not been disclosed. 

The roads have been cleared, and the investigation is ongoing. No additional information is immediately available.
