[08-25-2025] Multiple Injured in Street Takeover Crash on East Victoria Street Near South Suzanna Road in ComptonSeveral people were injured when a vehicle struck a group of onlookers during a street takeover in Compton early Monday morning, August 25, 2025.

According to witnesses, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. near East Victoria Street and South Suzanna Road. 

A video showed a driver performing donuts in reverse, causing the vehicle to mount the sidewalk and hit multiple people. Several onlookers were thrown into the intersection, while others rushed to help.

The extent of injuries has not been confirmed, and it is unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said deputies did not respond directly to the crash location but were called to a street takeover nearby at Atlantic and Alondra boulevards, approximately three miles away. By the time officers arrived, the crowd had dispersed.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
