[08-24-2026] Kern County, CA – Car and Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield

A white Honda and a semi-truck were involved in a collision on Highway 99 in Bakersfield on Monday afternoon, August 24, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 4:11 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 between Rosedale Highway and California Avenue.

The crash temporarily blocked the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes, causing traffic delays in the area.

CHP later reported that the affected lanes had reopened by approximately 4:47 p.m.
