[08-23-2026] San Diego County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash Reported on Rice Canyon Rd.

An Acura left the roadway following a collision with a Toyota Tundra on Rice Canyon Road in San Diego County on Sunday night, August 23, 2026.

According to initial reports, the Acura was traveling southbound when it collided with a northbound white Toyota Tundra along a curved section of Rice Canyon Road. After the collision, the Acura went off the roadway.

California Highway Patrol officers and North County Fire Protection District personnel responded to the scene.

No one appeared to require transportation to a hospital following the crash. Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed from the scene.

The Acura was reportedly traveling with several other vehicles before the collision. Authorities have not confirmed whether those vehicles played any role in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
