[08-23-2025] Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries in Hit-and-Run Crash on Market Street in San Diego’s Mount HopeA 45-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego’s Mount Hope neighborhood early Saturday, August 23, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred at around 3:00 a.m. in the 3500 block of Market Street.

Authorities said a speeding eastbound Ford Fusion rear-ended the motorcyclist, causing him to suffer a brain bleed and a fractured pelvis. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police reported that the Fusion was later found unoccupied in National City. The alleged driver was subsequently located and arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
