A 53-year-old man was hospitalized after losing control of his car and being struck from behind by another vehicle in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego on Friday evening, August 23, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:23 p.m. in the 4800 block of Fairmount Avenue.
Authorities stated that the man was driving a 2008 Lincoln Town Car south on Fairmount when he lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment on the west side of the road.
A 24-year-old woman driving a 2005 Acura behind the Lincoln Town Car was unable to avoid the collision and struck the side of the vehicle. The man sustained a brain bleed and was transported to a hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
Police stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. There is no additional information immediately available.
