Two people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Sacramento early Thursday, August 21, 2025.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the crash occurred just before midnight near the intersection of Ninth and T streets by Southside Park.
Authorities said two people were taken to a hospital for treatment. One individual sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. The condition of the second injured person has not yet been confirmed.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit and crime scene investigators responded to the scene. Police said they are processing evidence, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses.
Investigators said DUI appears to be a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
