One person died, and another was injured after a head-on crash on Highway 132 in San Joaquin County on Monday afternoon, August 19, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:21 p.m. on Highway 132 at Koster Road.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found one person deceased and another individual who sustained major but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed that the driver who died was traveling in the wrong direction in the westbound lane to pass slower traffic at the time of the collision. There was no evidence found linking alcohol or drug impairment to the crash.
