[08-18-2026] Lake County, CA – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash With Vehicle on Highway 20 Near Upper Lake

A motorcyclist suffered major injuries following a collision with a vehicle near Upper Lake in Lake County on Tuesday night, August 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on Highway 20 at Hicks Trail, just west of Upper Lake.

CHP reported that the driver of a black Toyota said she had collided with a male motorcyclist, who was found down in the roadway.

The motorcycle rider sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment.

Additional information regarding the circumstances leading to the collision was not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
