[08-18-2026] Contra Costa County, CA – Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Concord

A pedestrian suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Concord on Tuesday afternoon, August 18, 2026.

According to the Concord Police Department, the incident was reported at around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Clayton Road and Talisman Way.

Officers and emergency personnel found the pedestrian with severe injuries and provided medical aid at the scene. The pedestrian was then transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
