A 20-year-old Vallejo man died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in American Canyon in Napa County on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026.
According to police, the collision occurred around 12:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 29 near Kimberly Drive.
Authorities said the man was riding a 2021 Yamaha sport motorcycle when it collided with a black 2026 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 51-year-old Fairfield resident.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the Tacoma moved from a left-turn pocket into the southbound lanes before the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was initially transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. He was later transferred to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, where he died from his injuries. Authorities have not released his identity.
Police said preliminary findings indicate that speed and alcohol were not contributing factors.
The collision remains under investigation.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
