[08-16-2024] 29-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Pickup Truck in WhittierA 29-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Whittier on Friday night, August 16, 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:24 p.m. at the intersection of Marquardt Avenue and Imperial Highway. 

The California Highway Patrol reported that the pedestrian, identified as Daniel C. was struck by a Toyota Tacoma while on Imperial Highway.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead from blunt trauma injuries.

The CHP is currently investigating the crash. There is no additional information immediately available.
