One person was killed, and another suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Los Feliz, Los Angeles County, on Saturday morning, August 15, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:25 a.m. on northbound I-5 at the Los Feliz Boulevard off-ramp.
CHP said a Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound in the No. 4 lane when it veered onto the right shoulder. The Corolla then crossed the traffic lanes to the left and struck the concrete center divider.
The driver lost control of the Corolla, which collided with a Honda Pilot. The impact sent both vehicles toward the right shoulder, where the Corolla struck a concrete wall.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities did not specify which vehicle the deceased person or injured individual occupied.
The investigation remains ongoing.
