An 18-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash in San Diego’s Sabre Springs neighborhood early Friday, August 15, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred around 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Poway Road and Sabre Springs Parkway.
Police said the woman was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Poway Road when she collided with the driver’s side of a Mitsubishi Montero SUV driven by the man. At the time, the motorcyclist was facing a red signal, and the SUV driver had a green arrow. The motorcycle’s speed has not yet been determined.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man died shortly after being transported to a hospital. Their identities have not yet been released.
The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the crash.
