A fuel tanker and a sedan collided on Highway 14 in the Agua Dulce area of Los Angeles County early Friday morning, August 14, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 3:19 a.m. on northbound Highway 14, just south of Escondido Canyon Road. The tanker was carrying up to 85,000 pounds of fuel.
CHP reported that the sedan came to rest against the big rig, which sustained a broken rear axle. Oil spilled across the No. 2, 3, and 4 lanes, creating an approximately 100-foot slick on the roadway.
Both drivers exited their vehicles and were located on the right shoulder. At least one person declined transportation to a hospital for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
