A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco, on Monday, August 14, 2023.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, the fatal crash happened at the intersection of Harrison Street and 7th Street.
The victim was struck by an unknown car and was transported by emergency responders. While the ambulance was heading to the hospital, two Cruise cars without drivers stalled and blocked the street.
The ambulance got delayed, and the victim was declared dead about 20 to 30 minutes after arrival, possibly from sustaining significant left lower extremity injuries.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and information on the involved vehicle and the two self-driving vehicles is not yet available.
