A male pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Gardena on Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026.
According to the Gardena Police Department, officers responded around 7:55 a.m. to the 13200 block of Western Avenue and found an unconscious man in the roadway.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel treated the pedestrian at the scene before transporting him to a hospital, where he later died. Authorities have not released his identity pending notification of his family.
The driver was not injured and remained at the scene, where they cooperated with investigators. Additional information about the circumstances leading to the incident was not immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
