Injuries are still being examined following a multi-vehicle crash in West Sacramento on Monday evening, August 12, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 7:20 p.m. between West Capitol Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. 

CHP officers said that at least three vehicles were involved in the collision. The number of people involved and the extent of possible injuries the parties sustained are currently unclear.

CHP logs indicated that at least one eastbound lane was blocked as of 7:26 p.m., causing significant traffic delays for drivers traveling in the area.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and other motorists were advised to expect delays on eastbound I-80.
