According to the responding officials, the incident happened at the NASSCO shipyard along Harbor Drive and within the Barrio Logan area.

NASSCO officials confirmed the worker’s death but did not provide specific details about the circumstances leading to the incident. The deceased, identified as JC A., a father of four and a grandfather of six, had worked at NASSCO for nearly 30 years. It is said that the victim’s family heard about the tragic news from a coworker sometime after 1:00 p.m.
