[08-11-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – One Seriously Injured, Another Hurt in Rollover Crash North of Gaviota

One person suffered major injuries, and another sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 101 north of Gaviota, Santa Barbara County, on Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2026.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, emergency crews responded around 3:30 p.m. to southbound Highway 101 north of Highway 1.

Fire officials said a single vehicle rolled over after striking a tree along the shoulder. Two people were transported by ground ambulance to a hospital. One sustained major injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
