One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 710 in Long Beach early Sunday morning, August 9, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:59 a.m. on southbound Interstate 710, north of Long Beach Boulevard.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the collision.

Paramedics transported one person to a hospital, where the victim later died from their injuries. Identifying information about the deceased individual was not immediately available.
