[08-08-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Man Injured in Hit-and-Run While Changing Tire in Victorville

A man sustained injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while changing a tire in Victorville on Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2026.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Lindero Road near Ridgecrest Road. 

Authorities said the man was changing a tire on his vehicle when an unidentified black vehicle struck him. 

San Bernardino County Fire personnel also responded and requested an air ambulance to transport him to a trauma center. The extent of his injuries was not immediately released.

The driver left the scene and remains outstanding. Authorities have not released any additional description of the vehicle involved.

The investigation remains ongoing.
