A bicyclist died two days after being struck by a vehicle in Hemet on Friday evening, August 8, 2025.
According to the Hemet Police Department, the collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Soboba Street.
Investigators said the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Avenue when a northbound driver on Soboba Street struck him. The driver stopped at the scene.
Paramedics from the Hemet Fire Department initially believed the bicyclist’s injuries were moderate, but his condition worsened at the hospital due to internal injuries. He died on Sunday while under intensive care.
Police said alcohol was ruled out as a factor. The identities of both the victim and the driver have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
