[08-06-2026] Solano County, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Crash With Pickup Truck at I-80 Airbase Parkway Off-Ramp

A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on Interstate 80 in Solano County on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on the eastbound Interstate 80 off-ramp at Airbase Parkway. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at around 12:06 p.m.

Preliminary investigators said the bicyclist was riding in or near the traffic lanes of the off-ramp as the driver of a Dodge Ram was exiting the freeway. The driver attempted to brake but was unable to avoid striking the bicyclist. Authorities said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have been factors in the collision.

The CHP continues to investigate the fatal crash.
