Multiple people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash sent a big rig down an embankment in the Cajon Pass, San Bernardino County, early Wednesday morning, August 5, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 1:51 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 15 near State Route 138.
Initial reports indicated a four-door sedan collided with a semi-truck pulling a trailer. Investigators later determined the crash involved three vehicles.
The semi-truck left the roadway, traveled down the right shoulder, and came to rest upright approximately 20 to 30 feet below the freeway with both dump-style trailers still attached.
Authorities reported multiple injuries, including a juvenile female who was transported to a hospital.
The CHP Inland Division continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
