[08-04-2026] Kern County, CA – One Injured in Parking Lot Crash in Ridgecrest

One person was injured in a parking lot collision at a business on Inyokern Road in Ridgecrest on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, 2026.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 4:53 p.m. at T&T Alignment. 

A Mitsubishi Outlander was backing out of a parking space when it struck the open door of a Honda Accord as a passenger was exiting the vehicle. The impact forced the door backward, trapping the passenger’s leg.

The injured person sustained a leg injury, although it has not been confirmed whether any bones were broken. Authorities said the collision caused little, if any, visible damage to either vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
