[08-03-2024] One Person Critically Injured After Two-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Crash in Canoga ParkOne person was critically injured after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles early Saturday morning, August 3, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 1 a.m. on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, north of Parthenia Street in the Canoga Park neighborhood. 

LAPD said a white Acura 4-door sedan traveling northbound sideswiped a gray 2022 BMW sedan, causing the BMW driver to lose control and crash into a pole. The Acura driver fled the scene without identifying themselves or offering aid to the injured motorist.

Paramedics transported the BMW driver to a hospital, where they are being treated for severe injuries. The victim’s name, age, and gender were not disclosed.

No further details were released, and authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine the factors leading to the incident. 

The city of Los Angeles is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the hit-and-run driver.
