One person was killed, while another was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash in Lytle Creek, San Bernardino County, on Friday night, August 2, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident happened around 8:20 p.m. along Lytle Creek Road, approximately 2 to 3 miles north of Glen Helen Parkway.
Initial reports by the CHP indicated that the driver of the unspecified vehicle lost control, causing it to overturn into the westbound lanes. A female passenger was said to be bleeding and having difficulty breathing due to the collision, while another person was confirmed to have died.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as 24-year-old Joanna G. from Rialto. It is still unclear if she was the driver of the crashed vehicle or another passenger. Meanwhile, the current condition of the still-unnamed injured passenger remains undisclosed.
No additional information was immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors leading up to the fatal collision.
