Injuries are being examined following a multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Oceanside early Thursday morning, August 1, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 5:00 a.m. along southbound Interstate 5 near the Cassidy Street exit.
How the crash occurred is still unclear, but authorities said that at least one vehicle overturned. The number of vehicles and people involved was also undisclosed. Currently, there is no confirmation of any fatalities or injuries.
The right two lanes were closed off for several hours after the crash. The authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors that may have contributed to the incident.
