According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 108 between South Washington Street and Lower Mono Way, near the Sonora Walmart. The collision was reportedly caused by a driver making an unsafe U-turn.

Emergency responders reported that three individuals sustained minor to moderate injuries. As of 10:52 a.m., both directions of Highway 108 were blocked, and traffic was backing up in the area.
