A woman was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision in Citrus Heights on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic crash happened around 7:45 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near the off-ramp for Greenback Lane.

CHP reported that at least four vehicles were involved in the accident. The number of people affected was not disclosed, but officers confirmed that a woman was rushed to the hospital as a result of the crash. Her name, age, and current status were not provided.

It is still unclear if the hospitalized victim was a driver or a passenger. Currently, no other injuries were reported.
