At least one person was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Modesto on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2024.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the fatal accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. in the area of Yosemite Boulevard and Kerr Avenue.
MPD described the accident as fatal, saying that at least one person had died. That person’s name, age, and gender were not disclosed pending the notification of next of kin. It is not immediately known if the deceased was the motorcyclist or an occupant of the unspecified vehicle involved.
Yosemite Boulevard was closed between La Loma Avenue and Camellia Way as a precaution. Other motorists are warned of heavy traffic delays around the area.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The possible involvement of drugs, alcohol, or speeding remains unclear.
