[07-28-2025] Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Oxnard Boulevard and Seventh StreetA woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Oxnard on Monday morning, July 28, 2025.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers responded shortly before 1:15 a.m. to the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Seventh Street, just east of Heritage Square.

Police and emergency personnel located a 33-year-old woman from Carpinteria lying in the northbound lanes of Oxnard Boulevard with serious injuries. She was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition.

Initial investigation revealed the woman was crossing the intersection in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a northbound SUV. The driver fled the scene and continued northbound.

Authorities have not confirmed whether drugs, alcohol, or speed were contributing factors.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
