Possible injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision in Fallbrook, San Diego County, on Sunday night, July 28, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicular accident happened at about 9:06 p.m. at North Brandon Street and East Mission Street.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, but CHP reported that one of the vehicles slammed into a nearby fire hydrant. This resulted in significant water damage around the area, which reportedly knocked down a pedestrian crosswalk sign.
Emergency personnel were called to assist the people involved in the crash. The number of people affected was not disclosed, but one person may have sustained injuries. That person’s name, age, and current status were not provided.
Authorities blocked off the intersection of the crash and some of its immediate areas. Other motorists were advised to seek alternative routes while the damaged fire hydrant was being repaired.
