A rider was injured after a bicycle vs. vehicle collision in Sacramento County on Sunday evening, July 28, 2024. 

According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. at Northgate Boulevard and Wisconsin Way.

Authorities stated that a bicyclist, whose name, age, and gender were not disclosed, was transported to the hospital after being struck by an unspecified vehicle. The victim sustained injuries, but their current condition remains unclear. 

The driver of the vehicle that struck the cyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. It is unknown what caused the crash. Drugs, alcohol, and speeding were being investigated as possible factors in the incident. 

The collision remains under investigation. Further details will be released once they become available.
