[07-27-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two Injured in Head-On Crash East of Moreno Valley.webpTwo motorists were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision just east of Moreno Valley on Monday afternoon, July 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 4:43 p.m. at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Gilman Springs Road, about a half-mile south of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway. Authorities said a sedan and a pickup truck collided head-on.

Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the scene before CHP officers. One driver was quickly removed from the wreckage with major injuries, while the other was extricated more than 20 minutes later after sustaining minor injuries.

Both motorists were transported to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley in stable condition. The intersection was partially closed while emergency crews responded to the collision.

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
