[07-26-2024] Injuries Still Unknown Following Eight-Vehicle Crash Along 101 Freeway Injuries are being examined following an eight-vehicle crash in Los Angeles on early Friday morning, July 26, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic collision occurred just after midnight along the 101 Freeway, near Hayvenhurst in Encino. 

Authorities stated that a vehicle was traveling along the freeway when it rolled over, causing a massive pileup on the roadway and possible injuries to the people involved. A man was reportedly thrown from the vehicle, prompting two other individuals to exit their vehicles and assist the man. 

At the same time, a woman was also involved in the initial rollover crash, but her condition is not immediately known. Shortly after, multiple vehicles crashed into the parked vehicles on the highway. Another man, who was standing outside his vehicle, jumped out of the way after a vehicle collided with another driver. 

Investigation showed that eight vehicles were involved in the major collision. The extent of the injuries the parties sustained is currently unclear. 

What caused the crash is unknown. Speeding and driving impairment were being investigated as factors in the collision.
