[07-25-2026] Ventura County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle at Mall Driveway in Oxnard

A pedestrian died after being struck and run over by a vehicle on West Channel Islands Boulevard in Oxnard on Saturday morning, July 25, 2026.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:01 a.m. in the 100 block of West Channel Islands Boulevard, near the intersection with Saviers Road.

Authorities reported that a 59-year-old man was crossing the mall driveway to continue eastbound when a 53-year-old Oxnard woman driving a Toyota Tacoma struck him.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later died at 5:36 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Preliminary investigations indicated that alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
