A four-vehicle collision on Camino Del Rey in Bonsall, San Diego County, occurred Thursday afternoon, July 24, 2025.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the crash was reported at approximately 1:05 p.m.
Authorities learned that one man, described as either Hispanic or white, wearing a black tank top and tan shorts, fled the scene after jumping a white fence into a vineyard near 5958 Camino Del Rey. Prior to fleeing, he had been standing in the road and was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with others involved in the crash.
Injuries were initially unclear, but the call was upgraded to a traffic collision with paramedics en route. Emergency responders arrived on scene by 1:28 p.m., and a tow request was logged shortly before 1:50 p.m.
The cause of the crash and the identity or apprehension status of the fleeing individual are still under investigation.
