A three-vehicle crash caused delays on northbound Interstate 5 near Fort Tejon Road in Kern County on Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a road closure was reported around 2:16 p.m. on the northbound I-5 at Fort Tejon Road.
Officials later reported a multi-vehicle collision south of Fort Tejon Road around 3:55 p.m.
Authorities said the crash involved three vehicles, including a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Toyota Corolla, and a Ford sedan.
CHP advised motorists traveling through the area to expect delays while crews responded to the scene.
The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
