A motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Visalia on Monday evening, July 22, 2024.

According to the Visalia Police Department, the traffic incident occurred just before 7:20 p.m. on Court Street and Riggin Avenue.

Police said that the motorcyclist was heading east on Riggin Avenue when they crashed into an unspecified vehicle at the intersection with Court Street. The rider, whose name, age, and gender weren’t immediately provided, was taken to a local hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

At the time of writing, the motorcyclist is reportedly listed in critical condition. It is unclear if the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene. Apart from the hospitalized rider, no other injuries were reported.
