A 29-year-old man was arrested after causing a DUI crash on Highway 101 in Mendocino County that resulted in one injury on Monday evening, July 21, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:09 p.m. near milepost marker 80.
Zachary M. of Placer County was driving a gray Acura TSX southbound when he veered into the northbound lane, colliding with a white Ford Explorer. The passengers in the Ford Explorer were uninjured and drove away from the scene.
Zachary was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. After being treated for shoulder pain at Howard Memorial Hospital, he was booked into Mendocino County Jail on charges including DUI causing injury, leaving the scene, and possession of controlled substances.
The investigation is ongoing.
