[07-20-2026] San Francisco County, CA – Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in North Beach.webpA pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by an off-duty San Francisco police officer driving their personal vehicle in the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco County, on Monday morning, July 20, 2026.

According to the San Francisco Police, the incident occurred around 7:04 a.m. at Card Alley and Emery Lane. 

The officer remained at the scene and called emergency responders, while additional officers assisted the injured pedestrian until paramedics arrived.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. The officer’s identity has not been released.

The department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit is handling the investigation.
