[07-20-2026] San Diego County, CA – Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Collision With Vehicle in Grantville

A 53-year-old man riding a bicycle was seriously injured after being struck by a car in the Grantville neighborhood of San Diego on Monday night, July 20, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police, the crash occurred around 11:32 p.m. on the 6200 block of Rancho Mission Road.

Authorities reported that the 31-year-old driver attempted to swerve to avoid the bicyclist, but the bicycle collided with the vehicle’s front right side.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with fractures to his left femur, ribs, and tibia.

The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
