[07-18-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – Big Rig Driver Sustained Major Injuries After Crash With 17-Year-Old Driver in Stockton.webpA 17-year-old driver was involved in a crash with a big rig hauling strawberries on northbound SR-99 in Stockton early Saturday morning, July 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred south of Acampo Road when the Nissan driven by the teenager struck a guardrail, veered into the big rig, and caused it to leave the roadway and overturn back onto the highway.

The big rig driver sustained major but non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. The juvenile driver suffered minor injuries and was released to a guardian.

CHP reported that alcohol and drugs were not suspected as factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
