One person was killed, and another person was injured after a two-vehicle crash in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon, July 18, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision happened around 12:50 p.m. in the 8400 block of West La Tuna Canyon Road in the Tujunga neighborhood.
Authorities stated that two unspecified vehicles were involved in the incident. One person, whose name, age, and gender were not disclosed, suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the other person, approximately a 30-year-old male, was found trapped in one of the damaged vehicles. He sustained unknown injuries and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. As of this writing, no other injuries were reported.
The LAFD is currently investigating the crash to determine the possible factors leading up to the incident. More information has yet to be released once it becomes available.
