[07-17-2024] Orange County, CA – Man Killed Following Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Collision in Garden Grove

A man was killed following a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Garden Grove on Wednesday evening, July 17, 2024. 

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the crash happened around 11:16 p.m. in the 14300 block of Brookhurst Street. 

Authorities stated that a gray 2022 Toyota Sienna, driven by a 58-year-old Santa Ana woman, was traveling at an unknown speed when it struck the pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found the victim, described only as a man, unresponsive in the roadway and the involved vehicle in a nearby parking lot.

The man sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash. Meanwhile, the driver did not suffer any injuries and cooperated with the investigation.

It is unknown what caused the collision. Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be the factors in the crash. Further details have yet to be released once they become available.
