[07-16-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – One Killed, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Paradise and Shiloh Rd.webpOne person was killed, and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in rural Stanislaus County on Thursday evening, July 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:51 p.m. at the intersection of Paradise and Shiloh roads, west of Modesto.

Authorities reported that a 2004 Toyota pickup truck, traveling eastbound at approximately 55 mph, collided with a 2026 Rivian SUV turning left from Paradise Road onto Shiloh Road. The Toyota driver, a 29-year-old man from Patterson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota passenger, a 32-year-old man from Patterson, sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The Rivian driver, a 16-year-old, and the passenger, a 38-year-old woman, both from Patterson, were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

Police indicated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
