A man was injured in a hit-and-run crash in southwest Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2026.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:18 p.m. in the 4000 block of Wilson Road near Akers Road.
The victim sustained moderate injuries after being struck by the vehicle. Authorities reported that the driver fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan.
Emergency responders, including police, fire, and ambulance personnel, initially blocked Wilson Road to provide aid and clear the scene.
