[07-13-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 12

One person was killed, and another was injured in a head-on collision on Highway 12 west of Interstate 5 in San Joaquin County, early Monday morning, July 13, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 12 and Guard Road.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries for the hospitalized person was not immediately released.

Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
